Recipe details
Ingredients
- 1 roll of ready made croissant dough (I used Jus Roll, found in most UK supermarkets)
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tbsp sugar
Optional: you can add 1 tsp cinnamon and mix with the sugar for cinnamon sugar flavour
Instructions
- Pre heat your oven to 180ºc and line two baking trays with greaseproof paper
- Roll out your croissant dough and smooth over any holes or imperfections. Use a small saucer to cut out as many circles of dough as you can fit, then use a pizza cutter to divide them. Start by quartering them, then quarter again, and again. This should leave you with 16 even sized triangles. Starting with the widest end of the triangle, roll each one up until you have a mini croissant. Place on the prepared tray and continue until you have used up all of your dough.
- Once your mini croissants are all rolled, melt your tablespoon of butter and gently brush over each one. Sprinkle with a little sugar and bake for 10 minutes.
- Leave to cool slightly and enjoy!
- These are best eaten on the day they are made, as with most most pastries, they are always so much tastier when fresh.
